The Off-White x Air Jordan 2 “Black/Blue” is one of two colorways of the November 2021 collaboration between Virgil Abloh’s streetwear and high fashion brand and Jordan on Michael Jordan’s second signature shoe. A launch colorway of the first-ever Off-White co-designed Air Jordan 2, the “Black/Blue” version of the vintage model looks to a pair of well-worn, vintage Jordan 2s, perhaps a pair worn by Michael himself, with its aged details. In Off-White’s signature deconstructed, retro ethos, the Jordan 2 features a faux-crumbled foam midsole to mimic the appearance of a vintage shoe. The upper is constructed from premium black leather. Michael Jordan’s signature appears on the lateral side of the shoe. Jordan’s signature is also found on the collar on the “Chicago” colorway of the shoe. The signatures in two different places on two different shoes is meant to simulate the idea that Michael would’ve likely signed each game-worn pair in a different place. Off-White’s Helvetica branding is found on the medial side and a gold zip-tie appears on the left shoe.
